A formula based on the mainstays of joint supplements Chondroitin and Glucosamine, enhanced with herbs and extracts that improve blood flow, heal bone, and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support.
Ingredient Description for this 1200mg proprietary blend:
Glucosamine Sulfate: There is a good reason this compound is found in nearly every joint formula: it works. Naturally occurring in joints and healthy cartilage, Glucosamine supplementation has been demonstrated in multiple studies to improve osteoarthritis, especially in the knees.
Chondroitin Sulfate: This glycosaminoglycan is basically a chain of sugars that is a crucial part of joint cartilage, providing its ability to resist compression. This is almost always found alongside Glucosamine in joint formulas because it has years of research to prove that it really helps repair joints and slows osteoarthritis.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM): This organic form of sulfur is another common component of joint formulas. Thought to be anti-inflammatory, thus lessening the immune damage done to injured tissue, MSM has been shown in research to be more effective when combined with glucosamine.
Cissus Quadrangularis: Cissus has enjoyed immense popularity these last few years for its testosterone boosting anti-cortisol effects, but it shouldn't be forgotten that this herb has thousands of years of use in India as a bone and joint remedy. Cissus works by ramping up collagen repair, which is critical in healing joints, tendons, ligaments, and muscle.
Turmeric Powder (cucurmin): Indians have used this spice for medicinal purposes for centuries as well. Now there are promising studies found in everything from cancer research to arthritis. There's been some good experimental studies showing how turmeric limits inflammation inside joints and prevents destruction of articulating cartilage.
Boswellia Serrata: Another Indian herb with active anti-inflammatory compounds, this also has the benefit of traditional medicine and scientific research to back it up.
Quercetin: This plant flavonoid is an antioxidant that has amazing cardiovascular properties. The flavonoid improves blood flow by dilating vessels. Research shows that quercetin appears to improve limit inflammation in joints, improve the quality of synovial joint fluid as well as lessen the pain response to joint injury by directly affecting pain receptors.
Pycnogenol: This extract of pine bark is another herb with great anti-inflammatory/ antioxidant properties that has the data to prove it works in joint disease. Several patient trials show it's as effective or greater compared to some medical therapies in helping reduce the symptoms and clinical signs of arthritis pain.
